Spotlight of the current deployment status of fuel cells in road transport as of end of 2022
This report provides an overview of the current status of fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) and hydrogen refueling station infrastructure, based on data collected by the IEA Technology Collaboration Programme on Advanced Fuel Cells. As of December 2023, the global fleet of FCVs nears 90,000, serviced by over 1,200 hydrogen stations. The report also highlights the growth of heavy-duty trucks and the continued expansion of hydrogen stations, particularly in China, South Korea, and Japan.
